Reskin is built so that privacy isn't a promise — it's a consequence of the architecture. Here is exactly what that means.

The short version
Reskin is a browser extension that restyles YouTube. It does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. There are no analytics, no trackers, and no advertising identifiers. Your themes and settings live in your browser. The only time Reskin talks to a server is to verify a Pro license you chose to purchase.
What we collect
Nothing about you. Reskin does not read your watch history, search queries, account details, or the videos you view. It has no access to your identity and builds no profile of you.
The extension requests a single host permission for youtube.com so it can apply styles to the page. It does not request <all_urls> or access to any other site.
Where your settings live
Your selected theme, custom colors, and CSS live in chrome.storage. If you enable Chrome's built-in sync, your browser syncs those settings across your own devices through your Google account — Reskin never sees that data, and it is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
The only network request
If you purchase Pro, Reskin contacts our payment provider to verify your license. That request includes only the license token needed to confirm your purchase — not your browsing activity. Payments are handled by our third-party processor; we never see or store your card details.
Third parties
We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties, because we do not collect data to share. The only external services involved are the payment processor used for the one-time Pro unlock and the browser vendor's own sync infrastructure, each acting under its own privacy policy.
Your control
Because your settings never leave your browser, you are fully in control of them. Clearing the extension's storage or uninstalling Reskin removes everything it has saved. There is no account to delete and no server-side copy of your preferences to request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date below and note the change in the extension's changelog. Material changes will be surfaced in the extension before they take effect.
